We love matcha and green tea, but the ritual just took too much time. We wanted convenience, something on the go, and something natural without sugar or artificial additives.

Hi, we are Nick and Asia, the co-founders of Lucent.

Tea has been part of Nick’s life since childhood, helping out in his parents’ tea shop. Years later, living in Japan, green tea became part of his everyday routine. At work, he was known for always carrying a bottle of it to stay focused through the day. Asia has always been interested in nutrition and longevity, and has loved matcha ever since visiting Japan in her childhood.

But it wasn’t until we moved to the Swiss Alps that we realized how central matcha and green tea had become to our daily lives. Suddenly, they were hard to find. That was when we began thinking more seriously about creating something of our own.

With work, parenting, and an active routine, we wanted something that helped us stay clear and focused without the sugar or artificial ingredients we were trying to avoid. We were already taking a few essential nutrients each day and thought, wouldn’t it be great if it was all in one drink?

We made Lucent for ourselves first, and now we’re excited to share it with you.
